Celebrating Dot Day

We started celebrating International Dot Day on Friday by reading The Dot by Peter Reynolds.

We loved how the main character, Vashti, didn't think she was an artist, but discovered that she really was!

To celebrate we painted our own water color dots, and hung them outside our room.

To see your child's dot please click here & visit their student blog. You can even leave them a comment! We would absolutely love to have you share your thoughts about a dot.

Then, today we created a collaborative class dot! We love it!

Some students wrote a Dot Day book during stations ...

We also used augmented reality to make these paper dots come to life! Download the app we used here

We even counted dots during math.

And ... we sang the Dot song!

Ask your student what their favorite part of Dot Day was! Mine was great class dot we made together!
