1 ½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon soda
1 unbeaten egg

Soften yeast in warm water.
Heat cottage cheese to lukewarm:
add sugar, onions, butter, dill, salt, soda, egg and softened
yeast. Beat well. Add flour to form a stiff dough. Beat well.
Cover. Let rise in warm place for
about 1 hour until double in bulk. Stir
down and put into well-greased bread pan.
Let rise for about 30 minutes.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Brush with butter and a bit of salt.
The Herb Garden Ladies gave us this recipe so we could make dilly bread with the dill from our garden.
